Twin Peaks keert mei 2017 terug op tv

In 2016 werd bekend dat de hitserie Twin Peaks in 2017 terugkeert op de Amerikaanse zender Showtime. Nadat de eerste beelden naar buiten kwamen in 2016 gaat de serie dit jaar eindelijk van start. Het nieuwe seizoen van Twin Peaks telt 17 afleveringen en de eerste aflevering die op 21 mei te zien is duurt twee uur.

Wat is Twin Peaks
De serie die in 1991 uitgezonden werd op CBS gaat over Laura Palmer die verdwijnt in het fictieve dorp Twin Peaks. Aan FBI-agent Dale Cooper tijd om op te zoek te gaan naar Laura. Tijdens zijn zoektocht gebeuren er vele geheimzinnige dingen. Dwergen, uilen, demonen en pratende boomstammen komen op zijn pad. Niet alleen de mensen maar ook het dorp Twin Peaks draagt een groot mysterie met zich mee.

De Cast
De rol van FBI-agent Dale Cooper wordt vertolkt door Kyle MacLachlan. De rest van de cast bestaat onder anderen uit Dana Ashbrook, Ray Wise, David Duchovny, Lisa Coronado, Ray Wise, Johnny Chavez, Mädchen Amick, Sheryl Lee, Everett Mcgill, Monica Bellucci, Jim Belushi en Tim Roth.
