Vanavond zien we in Ik Vertrek het verhaal van Edwin de Heer die Nederland achterlaat voor Frankrijk. Edwin heeft al jarenlang een droom om de werkplaats van zijn timmerbedrijf naast zijn huis te hebben. In Nederland is zo’n plek haast niet te betalen daarom besluit hij om per direct te vertrekken met zijn gezin naar het warme Frankrijk.
In de Limousin, een streek gelegen in Midden-Frankrijk, koopt hij een een oude boerderij met een paar bijgebouwen. In één van de gebouwen komt het timmerbedrijf van Edwin en in een andere een Bed & Breakfast, zodat Jet ook wat kan gaan doen. Ik vertrek is vanavond om 21.10 te zien op NPO1.
