RTL 5 komt ook in 2015 met een nieuw seizoen van Expeditie Poolcirkel. Yolanthe Sneijder Cabau die dit jaar de show presenteert reist samen met Glenn Helder, John de Wolf, Bram Som, Hein Vergeer, Tonny de Jong, Brenda Schultz-McCarthy, Laura Dekker en Miek van Geenhuizen naar het extreem koude Ijsland.
Afmattende tocht door Ijsland
De acht bekende Nederlanders zullen acht weken lang onder bizarre weersomstandigheden en fysieke uitdagingen tegen elkaar moeten gaan strijden. Dit doen ze tijdens een tocht door ijsgebieden en toendra’s. Daarnaast spelen de kandidaten individuele en groepsopdrachten die zowel fysiek als mentaal erg zwaar zijn.
Finale bij de poolcirkel
Tijdens de gehele tocht met uiteindelijk doel ‘de poolcirkel’ valt er elke aflevering één kandidaat af. De finale wordt uiteindelijk gespeeld door twee kandidaten bij de poolcirkel. Expeditie Poolcirkel is vanaf maandag 5 januari om 20.30 te zien op RTL5.
