Ook dit jaar zullen weer 16 kandidaten naar een onbewoond eiland afreizen voor het avontuur van hun leven. Een meedogenloze afvalrace waarin ze niet alleen hun omgeving maar vooral elkaar moeten zien te overleven.
Opnames in de Filipijnen
De kandidaten zijn inmiddels samen met Dennis Weening en Nicolette Kluijver vertrokken naar een stel onbewoonde eilanden in de Filipijnen. Naar alle waarschijnlijkheid vinden de opnames dit jaar plaats in Caramoan, een gemeente in de Filipijnse provincie Camarines Sur op het eiland Luzon.

De kandidaten van Expeditie Robinson 2015
Welke kandidaten dit seizoen tegen elkaar gaan strijden voor de titel Robinson 2015 is vooralsnog onbekend. RTL 5 heeft inmiddels wel aangegeven dat de kandidaten in juni en juli bekend gemaakt gaan worden. Expeditie Robinson 2015 gaat eind augustus van start op RTL 5. Update: In RTL Boulevard werd op 25 juni 2015 bekendgemaakt dat Ronnie Flex de eerste kandidaat van Expeditie Robinson 2015 is. Op 15 juli is bekend geworden dat ook Sharon Doorson, Tim Douwsma, Marian Mudder en Teske de Schepper mee gaan doen aan Expeditie Robinson 2015.
