Gisteren kon Amerika al genieten van de eerste aflevering van het 5e seizoen van The Walking Dead. Vanavond is Nederland aan de beurt, want het 5e seizoen gaat om 22.00 van start op FOX. The Walking Dead is een serie die gaat over een groep mensen die proberen te overleven in een wereld vol zombies.

De serie is vooral geen horror maar meer gericht op drama. Zo zagen we de eerste vier seizoenen vooral een groep mensen die probeerden te overleven in extreme omstandigheden en constant op zoek gingen naar een veilige plaats. De karakters en samenstelling van de groep veranderde regelmatig. Zo ontstond er regelmatig wantrouwen tussen de verschillende personages en werden er mensen uit de groep gebeten door een walker.

Het vierde seizoen eindigde met een hereniging van de groep in Terminus. Maar ondanks dat de groep dacht hier veilig te zijn was het allesbehalve dat. Rick eindigde met de woorden “They’re screwing with the wrong people.”, zie ook de onderstaande tailer.

Seizoen 4 – Finale

Wat kunnen we verwachten vanavond
Greg Nicotero is de regiseur van de eerste aflevering. Hij belooft dat het een heftige en soms gore aflevering gaat worden. De zombies zullen er weer extreem goed uitzien en er zullen vele schoten gaan vallen. Één scene die zich in het begin van aflevering 1 afspeelt is zo heftig en ranzig dat het bijna onmogelijk is om naar te kijken. Greg: “Als je het gevoel hebt dat je even weg wil kijken ben je niet de enige.” Naast de heftige scenes zullen er ook een aantal emotionele momenten in de eerste afleveringen zitten die je als vaste kijker niet aan zag komen. Als je fan bent van Carol dan is dit de aflevering voor jou. Carol heeft namelijk een grote rol in deze aflevering.
